Aqualytic Laboratories Limited (AQL) is a private company with offices in Kenya and Rwanda. We are chemistry-based organization that specializes in Water, Air and Food chemical and microbiological testing, Supply of scientific laboratory instrument and reagents, Supply of Industrial chemicals and Training of ISO based quality management systems.
AQL performs analysis according to the International Standard Methods such as APHA, HACH and USEPA methods to meet government compliance in addition to performing internal tests for Quality Control purposes. We hold various certifications in the country so that we can provide regulatory testing to meet customers’ needs. AQL has successfully participated in various Proficiency Testing Programs such FAPAS, KEBS and SADCMET and has emerged with satisfactory results.
We have implemented Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to improve our interactions with our customers. In that regard our Laboratory Management Information System (AQL-LIMS) has brought quality and efficiency in delivery of our laboratory testing services. Our customers can access online testing services request, check the status of the laboratory report, and download the test certificate any time.
Since inception in 2013 the company has established a strong working relationship with recognizable brands that manufacture and distribute laboratory instrument, apparatus, reagents, and chemicals.
We are channel and distributor partners for over 13 brands from USA, Europe, Asia and South Africa.
To ensure quality of product is guaranteed we only associate with brands that manufacture products in accordance to ISO standards and whose after sales services are accessible.
Our History
Aqualytic Laboratories Ltd (AQL
Aqualytic Laboratories Ltd (AQL) is a company registered in Kenya, with its headquarters situated in Nairobi. It was established in 2012. Since 2013, we have offered a wide range of services for commercial customers as well as residential settings. Commercial customers include manufacturing industries, beverage industries, water service providers, environmental consultants, engineers, water treatment professionals, water bottling plants, borehole drillers, food producers, pharmaceutical companies and other laboratories within Kenya.
On 4th August, 2016 our laboratory was inspected and evaluated based on ISO 17025 for laboratory competence to carry out tests and sampling by National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). AQL was qualified and was thus Designated to undertake Water and Effluent Analysis and the laboratory was given the code NEMA/21/2/VOL.II
On 10th August 2018 AQL was dully registered as a Training Providerwith the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) during the 8th meeting of the Technical Committee on Registration of Training Providers held in Nairobi. The registration number for AQL is NITA/TRN/1477.
On 22nd January 2018 AQL applied for ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation a journey that took one year nine months. On 2nd October 2019 AQL was awarded the accreditation certificate as a Testing Laboratory upon satisfying the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 general requirements for the competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories under the given schedule. The testing laboratory number is KENAS/ACCR/TL/045.

Aqualytic Laboratories Limited is committed to provide reliable, timely and precise water testing services to its customers and to continuously meet or exceed the expectations of the customers. Tests are carried out in accordance with stated methods and customer’s requirements. In order to achieve this, we are continually improving processes and services, meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction at all times. All employees are required to understand and familiarize themselves with the content of the Quality Manual and comply with the policies laid down therein.
Our laboratory is committed to;
- Continually monitoring and reviewing our Quality Policy to ensure that it remains relevant and effective to the changing needs of our customers.
- Offer outstanding and world-class water testing services with good professional practices having a deep sense of management commitment in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Continuous appraisal of our business to ensure that the quality of service we provide fully and consistently meets our customers’ expectations and all current and impending legislative requirements.
- Achieving and maintaining a standard of excellence in the operation of our business.
- Making sure that the water tests are carried out with high standards of service so as to give accurate results, achieve customer satisfaction and timely dispatch of certificates.
- Provide water testing services in accordance with applicable national and international standards by maintaining impartiality, integrity and independence in its operations.
Our quality objectives
- To develop a minimum of ten new customers in a year.
- To improve the Quality Management System by generating at least 2 preventive actions annually.
- To impart a minimum of at least two trainings annually to laboratory personnel, either in-house or through external agency.
- Having a percentage of analysis without customer complaints not less than 98 %.
- To achieve customer satisfaction level of 85% and above.
- To meet the turnaround time agreed with the customer at least in 97 % of the cases.
